American Girl Dolls came out *just* as my mom thought I was beyond the age for dolls, but can I tell you how much I wanted Samantha? She was my favorite by far. She is now retired, and I just found out her crazy high price on ebay! I almost wanted to buy her now. I used to look at every page when the dolls were catalog only, and just maybe you might find me in the store in downtown Chicago just looking around.The dolls truly are just beautiful, the soft hair, darling outfits and matching accessories can only equal hours of make-believe for any little girl (or 34 year old like my self). But beyond being just a doll, everyone has a story to go along, inspiring young girls of all ages.But the dolls are very expensive, The typical 18" doll is $95.00, but you know you need the dog, lama, American girl goat???, pjs, and so much more. Well this is a money saving website! I have a little hint from my neighbor, did you know they have a American Girl outlet? It is only a short drive from the compnay head quarters in Wisconsin, in the Oshkosh outlet mall. Called American Girl, it is an outlet store in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, that carries American Girl magazine and high-quality overstock and seconds of American Girl clothing, books, doll outfits, and accessories.
